On January 19th, the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County Board unanimously voted to become a partner of the DuPage Monarch Project.
The District has worked over the years to improve the biodiversity of their land and has a long history of projects aimed at educating visitors about butterflies, cultivating milkweed in their native plant nursery and collaborating with local groups on monarch recovery initiatives. District staff bring expertise and dedication to the mission of preserving native flora and fauna and sensitivity to the plight of pollinators and monarchs.
DuPage Monarch Project is excited to have the District on board and we’re looking forward to working together to make DuPage more monarch friendly.
